10 Guidelines For Meeting Cosmetic Label Standards in the USA, Canada, and the EU
Cosmetic labels can be confusing. This guide will help you understand label requirements and choose the symbols and statements that are appropriate for your labels.
6. Country Of Origin:the country that manufactures or
produces the product.
7. Period After Opening: the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol, 
, tells you the recommended number of months within which the product should be used after the consumer first opens and uses it, provided the product has been stored under normal conditions and not exposed to extreme temperatures. For example (24M) means that consumers should replace this product within (24 months) after first opening. The �Period After Opening� number will vary based upon the type of cosmetic product.
8. EU Recycling and Package Disposal: the EU Recycling and Package Disposal symbol, 
, denotes that your company contributes to European programs for the proper disposal and recycling of all packaging components.

9. Warnings/Cautions: informs you what to do and not do with the product. Examples include flammable 
and explosive

10. Additional Information: the Additional Information symbol, 
informs consumers to look elsewhere in the packaging for additional information, for example in a leaflet, card or tag.
